I was Prescribed Tramacet - Tramadol Hcl/acetaminophen 37.5/325 for my headaches.

I have tension headaches in the back of my head and shoulder/neck and ive tried many pain killers but nothing seems to work. So i got these pills now. im only 17 and i got headaches, it sucks :(

I havent started it yet, because there is alot of side effects and i dont know how I am going to react to them.

Has anyone else gotten these pills for headaches from there doc?

thanks

My doc just prescribed them to me as well. I have taken them before. My headaches are caused by my neck being messed up by sleeping wrong. I woke up just now in pain. I am so tired of this. I have had this since Saturday off and on and I can't look to my right side. The pain radiates up to the top of my head.

Tramadol works. It will make you a bit "awake" or it will make you sleepy like a regular narcotic pain medicine. It just depends on how your body reacts. It is like a narcotic but it's a bit different. That is why doc's like to prescribe it now more so than Vicodin, percocet, etc. They say it is not habit forming but that is not true. You can become addicted to anything. Just be careful, if you are predisposed to seizures, tell your doc because these can cause them if you take too much. Also, if you are taking an antidepressant it can cause what is known as Seratonin Syndrome. Just be mindful of how much you are taking. I generally don't take more than 3/50mg's a day and I am on celexa for anxiety.

Let me know and good luck.

t~
