Hi everyone, I had a beautiful daughter on Dec 27th 2000...I breastfed her for about a month and then I quit. Well, after all that I have extra sagging skin under my arms (armpits) I can't wear sleeveless things anymore because of my 'wings' as I call them! Does anyone know what this is? I am back to my normal weight, I weight train and do aerobics...But the 'wings' are still there! I just don't understand this...does anyone know how to get rid of the flab in my armpits?

Hello, One word..."dumbbells."...Make that 2 words..."heavy dumbbells." You can also do kick boxing. I find that the weight section of my kick boxing tape provides the best upper arm workout I have ever did. It requires 5-10 lbs. dumbells. Cindy Crawford also has some nice upper arm workouts too in her videos.

Being a guy I'm no expert on pregnancy, breast feeding or after-effects of them, but I imagine that the skin became stretched out due to weight gained while pregnant and during breast feeding. Most likely it will slowly retract itself back to "normal". I don't know how long this takes though, and I imagine it's different for everyone.

Hi...Magpiezoe well, I am currently doing 'The firm' tapes and I do 'Pilates' too...I don't think this flab will go away unless I have surgery because now it's just loose skin. I guess I will have to live with my 'wings' forever! :( Thanks for the replies everyone! Have a great day! :)

Have you tried any firming lotions? If you know that this is just sagging skin, then a firming lotion might be your best bet.

I also have "wings" which contain very little fat. I have tried butterfly exercises, rowing machines, chest presses, and other similar exercises. Nothing has worked for me yet.

I can sympathize with you...I won't wear sleeveless, strapless or tank top blouses. My shoulders and arms are in good shape...it's just those "wings" that prevent me from being comfortable in skimpier tops.

Good Luck!

Tinahay, Hi! You know I have never even thought about using a firming lotion! Thanks! I will try it for sure! You know what really makes me mad? Whenever summertime rolls around ALL you see is sleeveless this and sleeveless that! Hopefully someday...hmmmmmmm
