1 month ago my 22yr old went to ER with alot of pain just under ribcage. Cat scan showed area of concern in the colon. Following day colonoscoy showed 4-5 small ulcers. Antibiotics were given and 2 weeks later she felt "better" but still had some pain. Follow up colonoscopy 4 week later showed ulcers had healed but opposite side showed several more really small ulcers. 2 days later she now has fever of 101 and feels pretty bad. Went to ER last night. Bloodwork, cat scan AGIAN ? and they said nothing looked to serious to be that worried. Follow up with gastro doc tommorow morning. I have some concerns. She has been faithful on prescribed diet etc. Not getting alot od answers from any docs...Does anyone here have any advice please ??

Thanks so much.

Not to scare you, but to inform you, my neice (now 18) was diagnosed with a Liver disease where the bile ducts don't work correctly and this goes hand in hand with UC. Just like you she had gone through many tests and many doctors until she was properly diagnosed. Now she seems to be able to go through the day without pain but its an uncureable disease. Ask them to check her liver and see if that maybe the underlying cause.
