You can get what you want by: A) Eating a proper diet. Lots of free information on the Internet. B) Proper exercise (cardio & free weights) routine. Lots of free information on the Internet. ------------------ "I got grace in times of friction, I got truth in times of fiction I've got no time for the hype... suicide!? I'm not that type... I got no time for drug addiction, no time for smoke and booze too strong for a shortened life span, I've got no time to lose!" Naxis 06-13-2003, 05:02 PM Nice sig. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Just keep in mind, sometimes a "program" laid out for you is the best starting point. Anyone can get in shape on their own, but if you don't have any experience or enough basic information I don't see any problem with the programs, as long as they get you off your butt and give you the impetus to keep learning and working harder. (This does not include gadgets like the ab-doers and all that tripe.) I don't know about that specific program, though. Anything that includes regular exercise and clean eating will "work". ------------------ Keep your body lean, your blood clean and your mind sharp. -Rollins ManOfSteel-138 06-13-2003, 05:08 PM Originally posted by Naxis: Nice sig Thanks, ditto. Thanks again. ------------------ "I got grace in times of friction, I got truth in times of fiction I've got no time for the hype... suicide!? I'm not that type... You can only gain muscle by progressively overloading them. I find it ironic that women are constantly worried about having too many results ("getting bulky") and men are constantly worried about not getting enough! Fat deposits are what make women's arms look big in almost every case, and reducing body fat will make them smaller and supposedly "tone" them. But all that low weight, high rep crap just helps you burn a couple more calories, it doesn't really make your muscles get much stronger. And gaining muscle mass is what speeds up your metabolism (60 calories/day per pounds of muscle). Asterix 06-16-2003, 04:25 PM I agree with arghh, and I would also contribute and say that it is practically impossible for women to get as bulky as men. I know women that hit the weights as hard as they can and they just look fit and sexy. Women are incapable of looking muscular and bulky like men, unless they have unusual genetics or if they take steroids. So ladies, don't be scared to hit that iron real hard. Like arghh says, the more muscle u have the more fat u burn and the less angel wings u will have flapping annoyingly around ur armpits. |
