Hi all,
BrenWill here. I have a question for anyone who had PLIF a while back. The question is is it normal...to still feel pressure at the incision site after standing or walking a while, does it ever go away or do you just deal with it? I am a year out and figure this is probably as good as it is gonna get, which is fine, I am not complaining or in pain. I just still feel pressure, not pain when I walk a good bit or stand for a long time. The dr. says I will probably always feel some....pressure at the incision site. I was just wondering if other folks who had the surgery a year ago still feel pressure form time to time? It is not constant, some days I can almost forget that I ever had surgery :) , but if I'm really tired or walk or stand I do..feel pressure. Any opinions? Thanks, have a great day all. BrennWill,
I still have that feeling also , I also have the tightness back there when I do stuff . I think were just going to have to live with it. It doesn't bother me as much as the aches and pains.

To your question , yes I get that feeling .

Hope your pain is controlable :)

Morning Shawley,
Good to know that I'm not the only one. I don't even have to take anything for it, it's not pain, just a pressure type feeling. I can definetly live with it, just wanted to know if anyone else felt it, compared to the pain I had before, it's a peice of cake. :D Hope your sis is doing ok. Have a good one! Bren

Hey Bren.. good to see you post again. Well the pressure could be some nerve issue at the incision site (not alarming, just damage bascially) or you could have some small buildup of scar tissue there as well. I believe these are usual main reasons for that feeling.

Good to see you.

I am 2 years 5 months out, and still feel pressure. It's like you all have said, not painful, just pressure. I tell myself that it's my reminder when I start to think about lifting, pushing or pulling something. Almost like someones there wih their finger going NO NO NO! lol

Good question, I've wondered that too, but never asked..:)
