I have an almost 6 month old who is just starting to give me a glimmer of recognition when I call her name (or Sweetie Pie or Honey Pie or Sweet Pea... LOL!)

I just read in a parenting magazine today that it's usually about 7 months, though.

My dd recognized her name at 6 months. Too cute. If she's facing away from me and I talk to her, she won't turn around, but if I say her name, she whips around really fast and looks at me with her big blue eyes.

Yes, she's such an angel!

I especially love the face she gets when she's into something she's not supposed to (like grabbing the remote I accidentally left in her reach) and I say her name and she whips around and looks at me and makes this face like "wasn't me!". I can't help but crack up. Then she starts laughing. Good times. I'm enjoying being a mother sooooo much!

Oh, and has been saying MaMa for a couple of weeks now (before DaDa). I know she doesn't know what it means, but it's still nice to hear! :D
