Lithium

Ive been feeling really bad since yesterday. Almost toxic. I feel like the meds are making me sick. I have a tremor and a sever headache and just feel weak and unwell in general. I was seeing the psychiatric nurse at school to manage my meds but since school is on break, I dont see anybody, so I cant call about these symptoms. Should I just go to the ER to be evaluated? I know there is a such thing as lithium toxicity.
Thanks in advance

You may want to speak with your regular doctor or get a regular doctor as soon as you can to see if you can possibly rearrange or drop some of your meds, because you are on many, and some of the ones you are on aren't good for your body to be taking them together. See, the more medication you are on, the less your body can work for itself, and the more side effects from the meds form. Then you are put on more drugs to counter act the negative side effects from those drugs and so on... I wouldn't go to an ER to do this, because he won't see you for a follow up and to get you on the right kinds of meds and the right combination may take a few weeks or even months. However, trust me, when you do find the right drugs for your body (in the least amount) you will feel a lot better. ;)
If you have any questions feel free to ask!

You really DO need to go over all these meds with a real doc in order to see what ones should be dropped.you are just on so many mood altering type meds that they could be interacting with each other.they, most of,are all having an effect on your brain chemistry to a certain degree and that can cause some issues for you to have to deal with.you just really need to see what ones are the best for you and try and taper off the others, but only thru your docs orders.you could,in the meantime just call your pharmacist and go over them to check for possible interactions.some do not always get picked up at the pharmacy when first filled.were all these meds actually Rxed by the very same person?this all just quite a load you are taking and combined with the klonipin, well its just alot for your body and your brain to handle.i can totally see why you are not feeling good with all of this working away in you.were any of these meds just very recently added to the mix or have you been on this whole combination for quite some time?
if at anytime you just feel way too sick i would get to an ER,you just need to be certain that things are okay, espescially all bodysystem functions.depending on just where these are actually being metabolized(either kidneys or liver)it could just be a bit too much for a particular organ.the more different meds you take the higher chances of this actually occuring.you really just need to see an actual doc for a full check up and evaluation of all those meds and the actual need for them all.there are no nurses that can even come close to an actual MD,they just do not actually have enough overall knowledge or training.you just need this all evaluated by someone who knows,an MD.i wish you luck and hope this can be reduced to only some of what you are currently taking.just do not ever suddenly drop any of these meds on your own, this just needs a good taper plan set up with your doc in order to not end up with some pretty nasty WD side effects.please keep us posted,FB

Try your best to get rid of any of the anxiety meds. The longer you stay med free regarding your anxiety - the quicker your anxiety symptoms will go away. Meds only make your symptoms more bearable, but they will never make them go away... that is up to you accomplish.

some of these meds you can't just stop taking, you need to wean off them. if your'e really feeling that bad and it's an insurance issue, school doesn't resume for weeks and you can't wait, then go to the ER, at least they can put you on protocol to wean you off some of these drugs.
(that's a lot of medication. I was on a fractino of that and felt really sick so i can only imagine what you're going through. hang in there.

I was referred to a psychopharmacologist, a psychiatrist who specializes in medication. He, Dr. Bakish, in Ottawa Canada told me that Paxil should never be mixed with other anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medications.
In my case, I was taking Effexor XR and Risperdal. The Paxil was preventing my body from getting rid of these drugs so the levels of Effexor XR and Risperdal were building up in my body.
TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. There are serious side effects - possibly even death when medication levels build up.
