Hi all- I wanted to boost my B vitamins intake over what I get in my daily vitamin. The clerks at the health food store suggested a sublingual B complex that was coenzymated. My questions are:
Why sublingual? I am just curious why it must be under your tongue. Why wouldn't you just let it dissolve in your mouth. My concern is whether there is something that might harm your teeth and that is why it is under the tongue. And, does it really get into your blood stream faster than if you took a B complex that was swallowed?
What is coenzymated? On the container it indicates that B vitamins must be converted into their coenzyme forms before they can be utilized by the body and that the sublingual coenzymated B goes directly into your blood stream in its active form ready to work immediately. Is this advertising hocus or is there something legitimate to this?
Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
