alot of the surgery places offer it there. do you have insurance, maybe they will cover it??? if they are big enough and causing you discomfort see what you can get out of them!!

I tried going through my insurance. The problem is that I am a really little girl. I am a 42 DD which is very big on me but not so big on someone who is bigger than me. The insurance has this set of guidelines they use for everyone, not matter how big or small they are. For some reason I dont qualify because my breasts are not "too big" according to these guidelines. The doctor said if they tried to push taking out as much as the insurance requires I could end up with nothing left and they arent allowed to do that either. That's why I decided to go ahead and try to get financing on my own. People get money loans every day, and I dont understand why I cant find one of those places.

I would try another doctor, some doctors get insurance approval and other don't. I think it has to do with the way they submit the information. Especially if you have back pain and rashes and other medical problems. I can't see the insurance dictating how much the surgeon should remove, it's not healthy to remove too much, that will cause other health problems.

Also, I don't know where your from but they have some excellent plastic surgery clinics within some major hospitals that will cost you less than half. You will have to call around or go on the internet and search for these clinics, they are excellent, the top plastic surgeons oversee or preform the surgery, ask alot of questions, I hope this helped. Good luck.

I am going to attempt to talk alot in this field due to it's my passion. I have worked in the Plastic/Cosmetic/Reconstructive field for 11 years. It's what I know.

As for a reduction, if you want to push your insurance company, it helps for the patient to become involved. Let's put it this way, you are paying in premimums every year these people's salaries right? So... they are going to listen to you first, not the physicians office. If you received the denial due to not enough breast tissue being removed (grams) fight it. If you and your primary care physician feel that a reduction is going to help you live life better and more comfortable than there is a reason to fight. Things to write an appeal are the following: A) Office notes from at least 2 other doctors for past conservative treatment that hasn't helped (Chiropractor, piedatrician, primary care physician, obgyn physician, etc). Letters from these doctors and your office notes are BIG! Write a letter to your insurance appeal department stating your daily life, how it effects you negatively. Depression, etc. Get it all together and appeal to your insurance company yourself. It works.

Insurance's do have height/weight/age guidelines for Reductions and yes they have a certain many grams that need to be removed per the factors above but that doesn't mean you can not overturn the decision with a little help.

If you decide not to. There are some healthcare financing companies you can log onto yourself and apply without your physician involved. In other words get the approval before you scream out you are having surgery to others. ****** the topic.

Just remember when you are applying, you will need the total cost of the loan, the check will be cut to your doctors office AND most importantly, some physicians only participate in certain payment options on the plan.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
