OK, I might sound silly but I am curious to know.
I had blood drawn a month ago, they found H pylori in my stomach but didn't give me anything, they said to wait until I had the upper endoscopy done. Which was done last Friday. Now I am feeling kind of weird in the stomach and throat. I know the throat thing is normal and it is actually not bad. But the stomach kind of pain but not a pain is weird.

Now do you think when they went there they woke up the h pylori bacteria? I have to go back at the end of the month for the result of the biopsy and hopefully something for the bacteria.

If they biopsied your stomach, the pain you are experienceing may be from that. I felt a little twinge of pain here and there from my upper endoscopy and biopsy, which was just last Wednesday... not so sure about waking it up. I've had stomach pain for some time now, so I didn't notice a change.

Hope all goes well for you.

I had an EGD(scope) done a few weeks ago. I had alot of burning and stomach pain that was unbearable. A few days later the Dr.'s office called and said I was positive for h.pylori. The Dr. said that by doing the Egd it stirre up the h.pylori causing me to be positive for this. It has been very painful and it made it hard toe eat anything. I was put on 2 strong antibiotics and Zantac for 2 weeks. I am finally able to eat a little at a time. It is very painful and burns like crazy. Hope you have better luck than I did. Take care and please keep us informed.

sorry to hear that laura.

I think it is the h pylori that got awaken. well i just have to suck it up and let it take it course. It's weird how these medical doctors take the acid reflux type diseases lightly.
