I've noticed alot of postings on here most everyone is getting treatments. Is it because of having chronic or do you get treatment if you have accute also. The reason I ask is because the doctor I'm seeing says there is nothing he can do if its acute. He said if it turns into chronic then he gives treatment. However I got every 2 weeks to get my blood taken from me.

I had an acute after fail epivir, they can't do anything, they don't have anti-imflamatory medicine.
I took chinese herb it help me .
My experience with Chinese Medicine treating hep b.
When I failed Epivir my Bil 8.8, AST 1000+, and ALT2000+ I was
freaking out turning yellow, dark urine. I went to ER, they can't do
much for me.
My gastro doc put me on Baraclude, I only took it for a week. I knew
I
need antiinflammatory not just antiviral.
I went to a TCM doctor, took the herbal antiinflammatory and forgo
the
Baraclude. All my number went to normal after 1 month. The number
were
all good for 8 months till I went back to work, got stress, had a
smaller flare up. ast 180 alt 240, I quit my job and currently being
treated with herb, I can feel the improvement, next week I will do
the
blood work again.
I am not here to promote any doctor, just to let you guys know my
experience and don't give up. I am still waiting for antiviral drug
that wont' creat resistant strains then just take it for life and
have
my life back. It seems Tenefovir maybe the one. I am keeping my
fingers crossed for all hepb sufferor out there.
Since I do speak and read Chinese, I was able to weed out good TCM
doctor from bad one.
If you ever want to see one. I would suggest the following:
(1) Either trained in China or HK or Taiwan, US TCM school are way
too
easy to graduate, not enough residency training..
(2) Age 40 to 55 because are also expose to modern medicine, my
doctor
know about all the ast, alt, bililibrim etc etc. she also order blood
test and ultrason for me.
(2) Hep B is endemic in East Asia, these doctors have seen a lot of
cases and dealt with them.
(3)Make sure Hep B is one of their specialty.
(4) There are some Chinese Yellow pages out there, but they are in
Chinese. (go to China Town Library, they can help you)
(5) Tell doctor that you want to drink the raw herb, not the premade
capsule herb.
(6)I recieve both acupunture and herbal medicine, but my doctor said
herbal is the main treatment.
Good Luck to all Hep B sufferer,
Let us hope science catch up soon and we all can have our life back.
I am too lazy to correct my grammar :)

It's not just one herb, it's combination of herbs and at different amount. Constantly changing.
YOU SHOULD NEVER TAKE HERB URSELF.
You must see a Chinese Doctor for that. I live in Los Angeles, if you live nearby I can help you.
Or else go to China Town Library. Older Librarian who read chinese can help you.
REMEMBER, it's just my experience for treating during acute phase.
