I read alot about Fish Oil, Flaxseed oil and Omega 3 supplements help alot in maintaining good health. I am 30 and healthy never had any problems but was wondering instead of taking multivitamins if and what are the best brands (I read Nature makes a good fish oil brand to help with after tastes and lead/mercury free) flaxseed oil and Omega 3 supplements? Also how much is enough? too much for daily intake? Thanks

I like and take Carlson --Super Omega 3 Fish Oil--- 3000mg daily-- as directed by my Doctor.
And, 2000mg of Flax seed oil daily -- the Vitamin Shoppe brand for use as an Essential Fatty Acid.

I also like Carlsons but I also use Green Pasture's Blue Ice Gold which combines Cod liver and Butter oil for maximum results.

I would take Spectrum Flax oil.
Its 1000 MG per Gel.
This is by far the best Flax Seed vitamin i'v tried.
You can smell the flax seed when you take the Spectrum.
Flax Seed they say is good for the hair and heart.

I have acid reflux disease because of a hytal hernia, so the fishy after-taste was a problem for me, as the hernia causes a lot of burping. Recently I tried Natrol's lemon-flavored fish oil supplements, which are supposed to take care of the fishy after-taste problem. So far, the fishy-taste is gone. When I burp now, all I get is a pleasant, lemon taste.

Is this the Natrol supplement you are talking about? How do I know if it has no mercury etc. Thanks

I am wanting to start taking some type of fish oil also. However, I am worried about the after taste myself. I've tried taking a fish oil capsule before but quit because of the after taste and burping..........awful!!:( I read the post about the lemon fish oil but are there anymore? Which are the best as far as no after-taste? Also, has anyone taken fish oil supplements to help with depression? I have been reading how there are many studies suggesting the fish consumption reduces depression. I'm not necessarily depressed but I do worry a lot and dwell on things. It drives me crazy. Thanks.
