I just get intrusive thoughts.
Please see my "Weird intrusive thoughts" thread for more info on that.
They could be a result of anxiety because after the thoughts came I definitely had anxiety disorder. But now the anxiety is at an all time low, and I'm doing okay and working towards clearing the thoughts up with meditation and relaxation techniques.
But I'm wondering, if I have no obsessions, and no compulsions are the intrusive thoughts still part of OCD? Or can it be a stand alone thing as a result of stress or trauma?
I can definetely see habits have been formed, and will take a while to break.
I'm just wondering if I have OCD, my doctor said they can appear on their own. But I'd just like to be able to say to my partner this is the condition I have, so she can read up on it and understand.
It's weird, I just have reactionary, intrusive thoughts. No other symptoms.

Yes, I understand that I may have pure O. But I'm wondering if there have been cases where thoughts occur as a standalone disorder.
Because I don't obsess over anything in particular. These are reactionary thoughts to counter my own. These vary from...
"Mmmmmmm nice cup of tea"
"No it's not"
To
"At least I'm not hearing voices"
*Intrusive thought becomes auditory within my thought, like when you think of someones voice*
Just to mess with me.
It's quite strange really.
