I don't hear to many people talking about the spinalcord stimulator for pain .
I would love to hear more stories about this device since I will be getting it in one week today. I see alot of people suffering with pain and no one talks about this much .

I have been on some serious pain med's and I don't want to take them ever again . That's why I decided on the stimulator , I have watched films on it but can't get anyone to really get into detail with me , I like to know everything about it and the process of them putting it in.

Thank's for the help ahead of time :D

Hi Shawley,

I know you from the back board. I just wanted to welcome you here and let you know while I dont know anything about the stim, I do know there are people who post here who either still have one or have had one in the past. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help you out.
Only a week to go, wow, are you nervous? Do they put you under to put those in, or just use a local?
Hope it helps, I know you have been through a lot with WC and doctors, I hope this is the one thats going to work for you, I know how bad it can be when you have no consistant quality of life.
Best Wishes,
Fabby

I don't think they put you under for the trial stim ,but if it work's for me my surgeon is going to remove my hardware and fix the problem's I have below my fusion , I'm not sure what yet , I see my surgeon on the 5th of june.

Thank's for your help , come visit us back on the back pain board.
