I go in for my refill tomorrow.
I have PN (which is getting worse) and muscle spasms - my hands will claw, and had a massive one in my foot making it look kinda strange.
I have had no testing - other than blood work - in over a year.
He doesn't put stock into EMG/NCV's.
Should I have tests done? Blood work - I don't know. RF factor goes positive once, negative the next...
And also - I have lax ligaments. The shoulder joint ones have been killing me. 2 options - work out and keep those muscles strong - which causes more pain in my arms from the nerves - or have surgery to shorten them.
What to do?

Maybe it time to find a new doctor who is willing to do these tests and help you find out what is really wrong. I have severe muscle spasms in my neck, so I know how bad they can be.

I really don't want a new doc. This one is treating my pain. I can function. I'd had problems with docs for 6 months before I found him...
I guess I'll just tell him I want these tests done...emg, mri, and someone told me to ask for a somatosensory evoked potential...(what is that)

Never heard of it, but if you like your current doctor than stress how important it is to you to have these tests done.
