I am wondering if it is normal to be spotting after intercourse? I am 51 and still get my period regulary. But I think I am in peri-menopause. I just had my yearly pap and very thing was ok. But for the past few months I have been spotting enough to wear a pampon because of bleeding after sex. Is this part of peri or should I go back to my gyn and ask for futher test for possible cerival cancer?

This doesn't mean you have cancer, however, it is not a bad idea to talk to your doctor and maybe ask for an endometrial biopsy. I am 45 and for my last four cycles I have been bleeding after mid cycle. Sometimes it's after sex but more often it is after a stool. I had a biopsy and pelvic ultrasound. Everything looks fine. My doctor said some women just bleed during perimenopause, and she is going to start me on birth control pills, which should stop the bleeding. Hope all goes well,
