Hi I have been having bad odor and lots of whitish yellowish discharge (like never before) and then I received a letter that my pap smear can back abnormal.(AFTER A MONTH AND A HALF!!):mad: It says I have a low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion. I have a follow up appointment Tuesday. Is this something I should be scared about because I'm kind of freaking out. Also is this discharge a result of these results or is it something else?

Any insight would help a lot !!!!

thats another word like cervical dysplasia, it's just the type you have, which means pre cancerous changes in the cell tissue. Theres different levels of everything. I don't think you should panic too much, go in and get the coposcopy done and see what they have to say with the results, it might be easily treated, or just lowgrade and might even go away on its own. Wait it out, talk to your doctor. don't panic too much, it won't help right now.
