For some reason if I am home alone and need to take a shower to get ready for something I'll get anxious. If my husband is home than it is alright but it just seems kind of funny to me that I avoid taking showers until I am not home alone. Does anyone else go through this?

believe me you aren't the only one...my husband has been on deployment for 8 months and i just recently started having anxiety attacks like 6 weeks ago...but the shower thing gets me to and i don't get it at all

I also feel anxious about taking a shower when I am alone but found that when I lock the bathroom door I feel much more secure and not anxious. I don't know why this works for me but it does!

Actually if I have the door close I get even more anxious. I always leave the door open even if there is someone home. I either take a shower really early in the morning before my husband leaves for work or I wait for him to come back. Sometimes I can take a really quick one but I won't wash my hair. Isn't this so weird?

I sometimes do that too, but I think it's that old Psycho movie that somehow pops into my head. I have a clear shower liner behind my fabric curtain, so I just leave the door open and I can see out so that I know that no one is going to sneak up on me...maybe you could bring a baseball bat or some sort of security item into the shower with you, maybe the phone or something?
