I have tried it for nerve pain and elavil(almost the same i think) as well. I dod not experience any pain relief whatsoever while on either one of the drugs. I was on each one for about 4-5 months before trying something new and all it ever did was make me sleepy. I had a real problem with the sleep thing as it made me so sleepy I would not want to work and sleep alot on the daytime as well the whole night. Everyone is different so keep trying it because your doctor has you trying it for a reason I am sure. I have heard that some ppl have alot of pain disapeer with this drug but I was not one of them. Keep us posted on what the drug does to you as well as the side effects and if it helped your pain.
