they go away with time... but if you really really really hate them you could put make-up on them... or burn them... or cut them! or tape them

A persons susceptibility to stretch marks is genetic. The less elesticity your skin has, the more likely you are to get them. I'm afraid that they're also usually permanent. They will fade over time though and become less noticable.

There is a new procedure invloving lasers (what else is new?). It does not completely eliminate stretch marks but it makes the skin produce pigmentation in the whitish stretch marks that makes them blend in with the rest of the skin tones making them almost invisible. It requires several visits to the doctor and lots of $$$$.

I have stretch marks on my hips from pregnancy ...none on my stomache though ...wierd.
Anyway ...I've had them for about 5 years and of course, they don't go away but when I have a tan, you can't notice them.
