DH said that I talk to him(not sleep talking) and walk around the house while on Ambien! I have no memory of the conversations or the things that I do after I take it! He said that I fell asleep on the bathroom floor last night and had to put me in bed! I feel really weird not knowing what I do or say after taking Ambien! Anyone else experience this?

I had to go off of ambien, because my family was afraid that I was going to get into the car and drive after taking a pill. I had serious amnesia about remember if I took a pill and what I did during the time I took one and the time I fell asleep.

My fiance and I were visiting my friend in college and stayed the night. I took my pill normally and the three of us watched a movie until we fell asleep. I do not remember the movie at all. What is more mortifying is what my fiance and friend told me what happened that night.

Apparently, I was loud, acting drunk, everytime I got up I fell from dizziness, I made sexual advances on my fiance in front of my friend, and even made sexual advances on my friend who also happens to be female! (I am heterosexual...at least that is what I thought.)

I have also binged during those times and have found wrappers of food in my bed the next morning not knowing that I ate the night before.

This drug is scary. I don't ever want to take it again. I still feel uncomfortable around my friend because of that night. Could this be a date rape drug? I think so.

hi aleet7,

ambien is a scary drug...i sleep ate. sleep drove:eek: sleep cooked...did all sorts of things i could not remember, but everyone else remembered:eek:
i was addicted to it and had to have help coming off it.....it is a dangerous drug in my book and i'll bet you dollars to donuts that we will see it either pullled off the shelves, or it will have to have a warning label in BIG RED LETTERS that it could be deadly. be very careful:angel: peace

Peace.....OMG are you serious about sleep driving and cooking etc....? I am still very embarrassed that DH said that I did many other things that I do not remember! I'm just glad that he realized that it was the ambien behind my behavior! I am really afraid of what could happen while on it.Thanks for your input!

Cinemachick, thank you for sharing that with me! I am mortified at attempting to drive or something while under ambien. I am very embarrassed that my husband told me that I forcefully made love to him without knowing it! I laughed when he told me about it because I didn't believe him! I am very conservative when it comes to the bedroom and he said that I was a raving maniac while on ambien! I agree with Peace1910 that there needs to be a warning about this med!
I intend to leave it alone and go back to herbal remedies! Thanks so much for telling me your experience with it!
