Hi everybody, I've been visiting thepumpingstation for a long time now for I am obsessed with weightlifting. I have recently purchased weights and a bench with the uprights (nothing too complicated). However I just have a question to be sure so I don't take weightlifting too seriously....I am 15 years old, turning 16 in November of this year, would it be fine to work out every other day (different body parts) and possibly taking whey protein supplement? I'm only 15 but I felt like I need to gain some weight...I am toned but I would like to gain more mass and become bigger in the waist (or upper body)..I weigh 135 (after meal)but i am not sure whether because im a hardgainer or that im only 15 and still growing.....Also any routines for ppl my age would be appreciated....
Thank you very much :D Anything that would help would be greatly appreciated

It's fine that your 15 and your weight lifting. More power to you. The earlier you start the better. Make sure you get around 1g to 1.3 grams of protien per pound of your body weight. That's where the protien power will come in handy. Also eat a lot of carbs. You dont want to lose weight while your lifting... also carbs will help you put on some weight... dont worry about getting fat. I would lift 4 or 5 times a week. I personally lift 4 times a week. It sounds like you know what your doing by targeting individual muscles on seperate days.... Some people try to workout their whole body in one day... not going to gain anything doing that.... Good luck, and get ripped! :)
