Hello, I am new to this board, and I feel like Iam having some major anxiety. Last Year I went through a depresssion and my doc put me on a very low dose of Paxil - due to me losing my Dad to cancer. I went off the paxil in October and I having been doing fine up until last month. I feel like everything is a chore latley, Iam planning a major move to another town with my fiance.

My daugheter is six years old and I found out over the holidays that she was sexually abused by her father, my ex-husband. On top of that she has some developmental delays and behavorial issues. Iam having her be tested for autism, aspergers etc. this July. I bring her to therapy every week and that is helping both of us.

I feel tired, overwhelmed and I really do not want to go on Paxil again. I just wish I could be not so negative. I am worrying about everything and I just not feeling like my chipper self. My fiance tells me you dont need pills, deal with your emotions and take one day at a time. Iam trying but I feel like he doesnt really get it sometimes. He also had a heart attack a month ago and he is only 42. Iam just plain overwhelmed!
Thanks for listening, anyone that is willing to give some advice feel free, I would highly appreciate it!

Once you have a history with depression/anxiety, it can come back.

It appears you have a lot going on in your life to feel overwhelmed about with just your daughter, not to mention moving and health problems with your fiance.

Sounds to me like you need to talk with a counselor, sort out your feelings and fears, and if that doesn't work, maybe you can try some medication again.

Your fiance has some great advice but until you have gone through depression/anxiety...sometimes you CAN'T snap out of it...sometimes you need help snapping out of it.

Good luck and maybe someone else has some better advice.
