The GOOD : Prozac does help OCD greatly but wont cure it. IT does greatly lessen the OBcessions and makes them alot more manageable. IT weakens the intensity
Even at an average dose of 40 mg I got plenty help for OCD
The NEG.... SExual side effects beyond horrible. most of the time on the drug I had zero sexual desire and was mostly impotent. The super long half life means that the drug takes weeks to get out of your system and a drug holiday is impossible.
More NEG... IT caused me HORRIBLE GI problems such as severe Stomach Pain and constant Diarrahea.
I had to stop and now I switched back to Luvox. This is much more gentle on my Stomach and the sexual problems are more mild.

I started taking prozac this week at 20mg. Waiting for it to work. I've been on lots of other meds that didn't work. Celexa gave me the zero sex drive side effect. Hoping prozac is the cure for me.

good luck on prozac it does take a long time to work atleast several weeks.

Celexa is pretty much the same thing AS Lexapro just been repackaged under new name due to the patent running out few years ago. To me both drugs were good for depression but did not help OCD that much.
