Brando46 05-24-2007, 02:47 PM Which works better for anxiety? Does either help a little with depression? Thanks j2006 05-24-2007, 07:22 PM I like Klonopin better. But everyone is different. Klonopin stays in your system longer. I'm not sure if it helps with depression. Mag311 05-24-2007, 10:18 PM I am told that Klonapin is better . It does stay in your system longer and it does not make you as groggy and sluggish. However, everyones system is different. This drug is a godsend to me b/c I used to shake uncontrolably...and now I am on it and I don't get the shakes as much or people are not as used to it. colleen617 05-25-2007, 01:11 PM I've always taken clonazepam -- I believe that it is a long acting benzo compared to lorazepam (few hours) -- I read that clonazepam can actually worsen depression. Jitterygal 05-29-2007, 07:51 PM Klonopin worked better for me-Lorazepam did nothing. marian100 05-29-2007, 08:09 PM Benzo's are a depressant and make depression worse if taken on a regular basis. They are for anxiety. God bless:angel: marian100 05-29-2007, 08:11 PM Buspar is a good med for anxiey. It is taken like an antidepressant. You won't get the sedating effects of a benzo. It does take time to work. In my case I could tell in 4 days but it took 2-3 weeks to kick in completely. God bless |
