I feel I am losing a little of my short term memory. It is not like I am just plain forgetting stuff it is just harder to think and concentrate lately. My p-doc says that it is probably the Xanax. I take 100mg luvox at night, 15mg buspar two times a day, and .75mg of xanax per day.

anyone noticed the memory loss thing? It is just taking my mind a little longer to process info that used to be automatic. I.E. peoples names???? And also simple processes at work. It is driving me crazy!

It also might be that I am overthinking this crap. That is what I normally do!!!! Since I do have a good case of OCD.

Any advice on the mixture of these meds and dosages?

I am about to start weaning myself off of the xanax. Should I take it slow?

I would rather deal with the anxiety about my thoughts than having my mind so foggy!!!

have a wonderful day everybody!

looks like you will need to lower your Meds a little.. Not sure which one so consult your physician. I can understand your frustration because if you got off them your OCD would return with Maximum force. So the key is finding a middle ground with your MEDS. Which means the lowest dose that still helps enough to atleast control the OCD without destroying who you are.

Talk to your DOC. I dont think you need to lower luvox because 100 mg is a low to average dose. The other 2 will need to be adjusted most likely.

See my Psychiatrist said you mixing luvox and xanax can have a reaction. I think what she meant is the luvox makes xanac stronger so that could be it. She wont put me on luvox cause of that.

But ya know I also heard you shouldnt take luvox if you're taking certain sleeping drugs like rosezerm.

So yeah it might be the combination...what's the buspar for?

Buspar is just a mild anti-anxiety, supposed to also be a good augmenting drug with an ssri. Not addictive and really no side effects to it either.

So you think adding buspar to prozac would help combate aniexty/ panic attacks. Which I believe are all rooted from my ocd. Im on Prozac now but i was wondering if my psychiatrist would be up for adding in buspar....is it a common combo?
