Timbrado 05-26-2007, 11:18 AM Has anyone out there found out that their reflux symptoms (LPR/GERD) were actually caused by gall bladder problems? Can gall bladder disease present as reflux? Donna K 05-26-2007, 01:06 PM I think you might be on to something. I had my gallbladder removed this past January due to stones. I experienced severe reflux in December and it continued until this month. I've had every test done and reflux nor any other problems were ever dx. All tests came back clear except for finding gallstones. As mysteriously as the reflux started it went away. Perhaps, it has taken my body that long to adjust to not having a gallbladder. Reflux with back pain and indigestion is what sent me to the gastro doctor back in December. I never had the classic gallbladder attack. 4+ months later, I'm finally feeling like myself. Timbrado 05-26-2007, 06:44 PM Donna (K as in DKNY? ) I started with LPR symptoms about his time last year, t hen had severe bout of heartburn in january; had all the tests (except gall bladder) and come back negative...ph, manometry, normal esophagus, etc, but very small hiatal hernia...); having a time of it with heartburn last week or so, with lots of trouble at night...burning, shortness of breath, etc... have been on ppis, diet changes, more recently bile blockers just to see... A colleague suggested gall bladder after having been through similar troubles, then finally discovred stones, gallbladder removed and now she's fine... miknan 05-27-2007, 08:57 AM I hope they are related. My doctor thinks removing my gallbladder may help my reflux problems. I had mine taken out Thurs 5-24. Too early to tell at this point but I haven't taken any Prilosec yet...
