Hey guys, I am a 20 year old female and I have been suffering from chronic tension headaches for about a year and a half now. Lately my scalp has been really sore, when I brush my hair it hurts, it kinda feels like how you put your hair up in a really tight ponytail and then take it out (which I haven't). I talked to my GP who is very unhelpful and told me its because of my headache. I dont think he takes me seriously so I think I will see another doctor. Also the right side of my face has gone numb as well as my right arm for some odd reason. Does anyone know if this is related to the tension headache? can someone help?
Thanks

I've been suffering with a chronic tension headache for 7 weeks, and also have scalp pain in certain spots that comes and goes. I assume it's related to the headache, but my doctor didn't comment on the scalp pain when I told her about it. Several years ago I had a tension headache everyday for 3 years. My doctor finally put me on Celexa for 18 months because he said the headache was probably due to a chemical imbalance in my brain. Eventually, the headaches stopped until about 7 weeks ago. My doctor ordered a brain MRI which showed tiny nonspecific spots in my brain, and now I'm scheduled to see a neurologist in about 6 weeks.
