i had a sub-talar fusion in feb. everything is going fantastic with the healing process. where the joint used to be is just a solid white line where the bones fused. doc and me couldnt be happier. i am experiencing some swelling on in the foot after all day and also i think this is causing the itching? has anyone else experienced this as well? it is really driving me nuts!

I had unbearable itching post bunion sugery.
However, it was right after the surgery.
I was possibly allergic to the nickle in the external pins that were used.
I had internal pins also but they were titanium and contain no nickle.
I am very allergic to nickle (earrings).
Do you have internal pins involved?
If so, check with the doc as to what the metal composition is.
It could be a scar tissue issue.

okay i'll check. as far as i know they are titanium...i have 3 internal screws.
