View Full Version : 45 mins. treadmill everyday

hi! i would like to know if jogging on treadmill everyday for atleast 30mins is ok?

Also would like to know how to get rid of my lower abs.

Yes 30-45 minutes at most! Once you have reached that time, your are no longer buning fat, but burning muscle. As far as the abs, you need to do crunches and really watch your diet. Watch out for carbs and high fat foods. Be sure to drink lots of water, especially if you are going to be doing some running!

so is it better to exercise twice a day for 20-25 minutes rather than once a day at 40-45 minutes?

Just make sure you jog for more than 20 min. Why??? Because the average body will start burning its stored fat after the 20 min. mark. And yes the body will use its muscle for energy if theres nothing else to burn.

Treadmill 45 minutes a day!! Thats tough!

It would be more efficient for you to incorporate HIIT training into your cardio. You'll burn more fat and retain more muscle and can pull it off in 20 minutes a day, rather than 45. HIIT on a treadmill would be something like 2 minute sprint, followed by a 1 minute jog, then up to a 2 minute sprint, back down to 1 minute jog, etc. This worked wonders for me.
