Today I went to my oncologist. I had a bone marrow test last Thursday. They found the cancer is in 31% of my lymphocites (sp?) which takes up about 10 - 15% of the bone marrow. I also have it in my lymph nodes. I got two choices. One was to watch & wait and the other is to start a chemo treatment. They would treat with rituxan & another medication (my mind is blank on the name).
Has anyone decided to do the watchful waiting.
It seems like my choice is from one extreme to the other.

Watchful waiting when they already know you have cancer??!! That just sounds scary! I had a tumor that they did the whole waiting thing on to see if it grew, but I was nervous the whole time... I don't think I could wait, it would just be on my mind all the time. If I were in your position, I'd start the chemo to get things going and on your way to being healed and moving on with life!
