I had a LEEP a week ago. I've been experiencing slight spotting, and then today I had black crusty looking stuff coming out of me. Also there is a horrible smell!! Worst than a yeast infection! What can I do about this? Do I need to contact my GYN or have other people experienced this? I've also experienced frequent yeast infections. I'm worried I'll keep getting them after I heal completely because someone posted they have experienced yeast infections alot after their LEEP. Is this ever going to stop! Am I going to be dealing with vaginal problems for the rest of my life?!! Ugghhhh :(

I hope I can relieve some of your anxiety.

I had my LEEP two weeks ago and had similiar experiences. There was light brown discharge the day of my procedure, then the next day there was dark brown spotting with that AWFUL smell. There was also black, burned like flakes with it. This lasted for a week. I am still spotting after two weeks. Some women can spot for up to three weeks!! I think it all depends on how your body heals. If it makes you feel more comfortable, by all means call your doctor, but know that these symptoms are normal. I wish doctors would share this information with us instead of the "big surprises" that we discover as the days go by:confused:

...One more thing I didn't address. You mentioned yeast infections in your post...I haven't experienced these after my LEEP. It's only been two weeks. I'm sure someone will be able to help you with that one.

I've never had a leep but my friend had 2. She had the same stuff as you. Really sucked too cause the 2nd leep was done before her wedding. I think it took her a good month before she felt and smelled better.
