View Full Version : Bleeding (2) weeks after LEEP

Hi Everyone.

I hope I'm just being paranoid, but I had a LEEP two weeks ago and experienced no bleeding - just brown spotting with a watery discharge. Now I am bleeding heavily and I BELIEVE that it's my period because it's due, but I'm still a little like, "uh...should I be wooried?" Is this from my LEEP?

Would I be bleeding now from my procedure if I wasn't bleeding days after it was done? I did do some pretty intense exercise the day before, but my Dr. told me that I could begin exercising the Monday after my surgery which I did, and there was NO bleeding.

Please give advise.

Thank you!

I bleed up to six weeks after my leep cone ( not the first week though ) both times .
I was told not to exercise for a month ,as I teach exercise this was difficult but I more or less stuck to it ( on the days when I did too much the bleeding was heavier ) . I think it takes a long time to heal , at least in my experience .When my oncologist gave me a check up aftetr the first cone at six weeks I had just stopped but started again for another week and quite heavy . I wouldn't worry about it just take it easy .

I had the same thing happen a couple of weeks after my leep. I was unsure whether or not it was my period mainly because it was a lot heavier than usual. I called my gyno and he had me come in "just to check" and it did in fact turn out to be my period. I felt silly afterward, but he assured me that is better to check it out and have it be nothing then ignore it and have it be nothing.

So my advice, if you are unsure call your doctor. That is what they are there for.
