Ive been using trazodone for a couple of months and it works wonders.

Usually the procedure goes where I would take half of one 50mg pill, lay down and watch TV, and actually pass out before I take the other half.

The past couple of days it has been where I will suddenly wake up an hour and a half after taking it, and I cannot fall asleep. I take the other half, and I will fall asleep.

Now the things I could blame it on but i don't want to jump the gun:

AdVair (asthma medication) - Ive never had a problem with taking it and not falling asleep, with my albuterol i have though.

Alcohol? - Why is it that sometimes I will fall asleep if I drink, then sometimes I will wake up sweating? I dont drink often, but the memorial day weekend, as well as last night, I had maybe a SHOT of liquor, had no buzz at all... I keep hearing it's ANY amount of alcohol you consume.

Tuesday I slept fine because I got out of night class, exercised, then read some of the Book of Mormon to get tired (got tired realizing every line began with "And it came to pass.."). And i fell asleep PERFECTLY without taking the other half of trazodone.

Now, am I just anxious and crazy? That I usually fall asleep fine around 11:30 pm and freak out if it's 12:15 am and i am not asleep?

Should I take the entire pill tonight? I thought it kicked in better if i broke it in half, drank water, and ate a banana with it.

It's not driving me as crazy as my insomnia was back then, and i am aware that my consideration of "insomnia" doesn't match most people posting here, but can anyone give me advise? Thanks guys.
