Has anyone bought this book. It is supposed to be for people with Crohn's, Colitis, Diverticulitis, IBS, etc. From what I gather, it introduces a diet that eliminates many carbs and some other things. The reviews on Amazon seem overwhelmingly positive: people saying all their symptoms went away and stayed away. Some people even claiming they are cured.
When I see too many good reivews, I get worried. So I figured I'd ask here and see what you guys have heard or what your experience with the book may have been.
If it meant adhering to a strict way of eating for a long time, I would gladly do it to get my sore butt to heal.:)

I have the book. The diet is very restrictive and you have to be dedicated to the cooking etc. It does take some getting used to and i would recommend it to anyone having a flare or acute episode. I have also met people who have used it for a few years and it was called a miracle cure by them. the recommendation is to try the diet for a month and chart the progress of your symptoms.
It has changed my life - reduced my diarrhea, stomach pain etc. I have Crohns and Gastroparesis and Gerd.
Take care
