Back about 7 years ago I experienced alot of stress after the breakup of an 11 year relationship. It was soon after that that I started experiencing the classic symptoms of low T. Was put on Androgel, but the MD did not monitor me. I started feeling better, and last year went through another stressful breakup of a 5 year relationship. (evidently I don't do too well with breakups) This is when the extreme symptoms (pounding headaches, no energy, mood problems, extreme foggy head, and NO libido) came rushing on me. Didn't put 2 and 2 together and attributed it to anxiety/depression until I wondered if it might be low T again brought on by stress. Went and had the T checked and it was below 170. Have been doing alot better since being on weekly injections for the last month. Just wondering how many guys out there might attribute their low T to a very stressful time in their life?

I am almost positive my low T is because I went through a lot of stress. I just cannot believe that it just happened out of nowhere. My sumptoms started right after a very stressful period in my life. It could be a coincidence but I do not think so.

The doctors I have seen so far deny this but I am sure stress did the damage. The big question is if this can be reversed? You said you were on Androgel for a while. Did you stop using it? Did your levels go back to normal ever?

I've been off of Androgel for 5 weeks now. And have been on T cyp injections once a week since then. I will have my levels checked in a few more weeks. I feel like you that the stress I was under caused the test. to crash.

I am 34. I got sick 6 months ago and I am on the gel. I wish there was a way to prove if this is stress related though. It sucks to have to take TRT for the rest of one's life, especially when you start so young. You have to live with the thought of something else can going wrong forever. That is torture. Once you get on TRT though how do you check if you can go back to normal levels naturally?
