Hi! I have posted on here about having kidney stones, and having them removed, but still having some in the kidneys. Well, since last Saturday, I have been experiencing pain in both sides, in the kidney area. I went to urgent care on Tuesday, and the doctor just pounded on my sides, then he asked if I was seriously having pain on both sides, as if he didn't believe me. Then he said that I had two options. A) he prescribe me pain killers, and hope the pain went away. B) he oredrs an ultrasound, and goes from there. He said that he thought that A was the best choice. How about I was already on Vicodin, and wanted nothing stronger, and lets fix this up, please. Then he ordered an ultra sound, because I talked him into it. At hat point there was no blood in my urine. I never recieved the ultrasound results. Well, last night I had some extreme pain in my pelvic area. It was horrible. Today, I decided that I would go to another doctor. I did, and this time there ended up being blood in my urine. This doctor is doing a complete workup with labs, CT scan, stool sample and everything, because he said that although he thinks it is a couple of kidney stones stuck, it could be something else entirely, such as the cysts on my ovaries getting bigger causing the pelvic pain, and kidney disease causing the pain. He is checking my kidney function as well as a million other things with the lab work tomorrow, and then based on those results scheduling a CT scan eiterh with ot without contrast, depending on kidney function. I am getting the results of all of it by next Thursday, when I go to see him again. That means that the test will defnitely be before then! Yay...there is now some sort of end in sight. I hate not knowing, and having to wait by the phone hoping the doctor will call and give me answers. This time I am going in, and he will tell me what is up. I am also seeing the urologist on Tuesday, and hopefully he will have some type of opinion. He hasn't been the greatest, trust me. Now I am just wondering what it is, and I am kinda nervous. I hate going to doctors, but at this point it is neccessary. The worst is the needles, and this doctor seems to be one who is going to use them a lot. He said that he wants me to continue seeing him throughout the summer, because my many health issues should not have a 4 month break from being checked. I thought that this summer I was going to have another doctor free summer, however, it appears impossible. Oh well, at least I finally found one worth my while.
