Do toe spacers/separators keep bunions from getting worse? I know they won't improve them but I was just wondering if anyone had used them and if they kept your bunion from getting worse or are they a waste of money?

I tried them but they did not help.I think they are used to relieve pressure.I don't think they are used to stop them(bunions) from getting worse. They will worsen as time goes.(I think)Hope this helps,

hi,
i had bunion surgery in december and after a week i started doing this thing called taping i did this for like 8 weeks its were you have like a cloth type thing that you rap around your foot and big toe, well if your toes are like mine and the big toe crosses the other one. and you are trying to pull the big toe out. so you could try thast you change it twice a day, and i guess it helped a bit. but i'm done that now and i made a cloth type thing out of gauze and something soft and taped them together so they stay and i put it between my toes all day lond unless i'm wearing sandals i'm now trying to only wear it at night, cuz i find thats when my toes go closer together. i don't think you really have to buy something like that its just as easy to make it.
hope this helps it is helping me.
Anna
