This was given to me by a friend who has ms:

The husband had just finished reading a book entitled "YOU CAN BE THE MAN OF YOUR HOUSE"

He stormed into the kitchen and announced to his wife: "From now on, you need to know that I am the man of this house and my word is LAW.

You will prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I'm finished eating my meal, you will serve me a sumptuous dessert.

After dinner, you are going upstairs with me and will have the kind of sex that I want.Afterwards, you are going to draw me a bath so I can relax. You will wash my back and towel me dry and bring me my robe. Then you will massage my feet and hands.

Then tomorrow, guess who's going to dress me and comb my hair?"

The wife replied."THE FLIPPIN FUNERAL DIRECTOR WOULD BE MY FIRST GUESS.

Gentleman hopefully I did not affend you!!!

Seems like so many of us has had such crappy weeks with the heat ,symptoms, relapses, this whole disease and the DX many are going through that I'd throw a little humor in.

nuffs3,

That is sooooo funny!!! I really like it because I am going to school to be a funeral director and we have been building our funeral home for the past year and it will be opening in July. So, your little humor really hit home!!! It was great!!!

My DH must have read this befor the dx LOL..I'm lucky or he is cause if he asked me to dress him and comb his hair he might be sitting in a hot seat, haha, I run with scizzors in my hand too. :jester:
Here's our lunch conversation:

Me: What do you want for dinner tonight babe?
Him: Don't matter hon, what do you want?
Me: I don't care, whatever you want.
Him: Perrogies sound good, what do you think?
Me: Yeah, Ok, you want Perrogies, ok
Him: I'll make them if you want...
Me: Ok, I'll take the sausage out of the freezer for you, bye honey..have a nice day. ;)
I admit though, I have the best man on this earth to be my other half...he really does help me a lot around the house, I'm so lucky and thankful for that.

Nancy,

You are very lucky,my hubby would let the grass grow 6 ft tall, laundry mount up.***** if dinner aint cooked.

he's a very spoiled mama's boy that still to this day caterers to him when she visits. She still slices his damn apples when she's here. For lord sakes he's 38 years old.

I know he works 2 jobs, but damn he could somewhat.

Geez Nuffs, That's really a bummer to read...keep in mind we're newly weds as we just celebrated our 1st anniversary. I hope my hubby stay's this way, I need him now more than anything and can't imagine him turning his back on me. He knows that too, thank God, he's a Godsend in my life and even when I feel like giving up this marriage because the attacks are so bad and I don't want him to be stuck wit me if I end up progressive and in a wheel chair, he deserves so MUCH better...he still tells me to take it easy, he cooks dinners when he see's I'm not with it..he bought me new furniture and yesterday he bought an umbrella for the deck because now the sun is almost unbearable, it use to be my best friend. Anyway, the husbands have a hard time too, it's not just 'our' disease, it's theirs too and they don't want it...it's hard on them...give them time and I only hope I stay this lucky and my other hope is that your spouses will grow what mine somehow has and be more compassionate to you and help you...you are suffering and they need to know that you need them right now more than anything. Good luck, have family meetings or whatever it takes to make them understand that this is a family disease and everyone has to pitch in now. My heart goes out to all of you who have kids, it's the one thing I'm so thankful for is this monster held back until my kids were raised, for that I'll always be thankful. Hugs****
