Hi, I was just reading one of your posts where you said that all the neuros in your are are in one big practice and noticed that you are from the northeast. I have run into the same problem and also from northeast. I know it's a longshot but by any chance are these doctors in Rockland county?

Nope, I'm in Northern VA. It sucks, doesn't it. The nuero I really wanted to see doesn't take my HMO, then the one the GP sent me to was- I read this here and I think it's a good way of putting it- "not interested in me". So I had to travel, and then with this one it took almost a month for his office to get a preauth for me that should have taken 3-5 days so I don't know if I want to deal with them either.

Beagle, you aren't in the DC area, are you? (Not quite sure how "northern VA" is defined. Also not sure you haven't already answered this question - sorry if you have!)

Just outside of DC in West Falls Church. Are you in the city? Too hot and scarey there for someone fatigued and confused like me. I never go anymore, for some reason the Metro makes me car sick the last few years.

No, I'm in Crystal City - I work in DC but retreat across the river before sundown!
My neuro is in Fairfax, on Old Lee Hwy. She's in practice by herself and I don't know details of her insurance participation, but I do like her quite a bit. Suneetha Manem.
By the way, where I work is at Judiciary Square, off the usual "touristy" path, a block away from a kitchen for the homeless. It is oddly comforting to have a lot (I mean a LOT) of crazy people around every day, makes me feel much less conspicuous!
