Hi !
I was on antibiotic therapy in February after having an endo and colon scope. The H Pylori was found through biopsy.
Tetracycline 500 mg x 4
Flagyl 250 mg x 4
and Pepto-Bismol 262 mg x 4
I felt much better after I completed the therapy, but now the gastritis is back so he did some more testing last Friday. (CT Scan, blood work, stool samples.)
I hope you feel better soon.

How long do you have to take these antibiotics? Sounds like an easy regime.
I have been troubled with tummy woes for some time and will be tested for this soon.
Hope you are all feeling better soon.

I have done two treatment in the past two years. My first was after I was dx with anemia and h-plyori and 15 ulcers. I was cleared for about 2years when the h-plyori came back. Then I did the Heli-pac which is much stronger for 14 days. I did not have any real problems, just some mild side-effects. I was told by my hematologist that if I did not get rid of the h-plyori, it could cause stomach cancer. So I would suggest taking the meds and not putting yourself in danger of getting stomach cancer.

I think you probably have to go back to the doctor to be evaluated to make sure that it has gone away?
I'm not sure. I've just been semi-diagnosed with it myself. Will know more after an endoscopy this week.
