Just a quickie, my what a day, you'll be pleased to know Ails, I went to my doctor who just prescribed more morphine
i had to go back to the hospital to have more bloods taken, and the pain is so bad, the nurse was really concerned, because i had to have so much taken as well as the pain they laid me on a bed, the nurse commented on the size of my abdomen, I said touch it, and I saw her frown at the other nurse in the room.
She asked me if I was a private patient and who was I under, next thing i know she has spoken to his secretary asking her to call her asap.
When I got home not long ago, the hospital called, they said they have a bed for me and i am being admitted.
So peeps, I am going to pack my bag, please think of me, as I hate hospitals, and I will think and miss you all.
Lots of love  God bless, love to you and hugs Susie xxx
ps don't forget me!!

Susie,
I know you may not read this until you get back from the hospital...
But, this is wonderful news that you're getting the much-needed attention you deserve. You are definitely in my prayers.
As soon as you can, let us know how you are.
Thanks to this forum for pushing you forward towards good health.
Hopefully, we'll all still be here--I'm having a bad day, myself, but will post a new thread.
God Bless.

Hey susie! I am so happy they are keeping you in! I know thats a little weird to say that but you know what i mean. They are finally doing something for you, not just dismissing you with painkillers. Now we can only pray that they get tot the bottom of this and it's not serious. I hope that we all hear from you soon, we will all be thinking of you.

I am so happy someone is actually listening to you now! I hope this is the end of your jouney in finding a diagnosis. And you are right, it IS harder having something and not knowing what it is.
Like everyone else, you are also in my thoughts and prayers! ;)

 Hi Guys
I am now at home, what a waste of time, I hardly saw my consultant, he did some tests but I won't get the results for a few weeks.
The nurses had to change my sheets a couple of times because of the night sweats, I was pleased, at lease they had seen what it's like.
Apart from everything the main thing was I was taken in for pain relief, I had no scans nothing:confused:
My consultant is fired :blob_fire
My husband and I are going back to my docs to ask if I can get a second opinion:confused:
Thanks for your support, I'm going now, as I feel quite weak.
Love you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ails  hi hon,
Have you read my thread to Lion?, I think there could be a wrong diagnosis:confused: My consultant said it showed up just that I had an infection, not that it's rare, no one knows how to deal with me:confused:
How are you any way? I see you still have your cracking sense of humor :bouncing: I wish I had it.
I'm sooooooooo not nice at the moment:eek:
Thank you for you support

I think I've caught up with your posts, and I really agree with Ails.
Can you seek a 2nd opinion???
It doesn't sound like they're being thorough enough with you and issuing the proper tests.

Fairy--
I know, I get confused with these posts, as to which one came first...."The chicken, or the egg?" ---you know what I mean?
Anyway, the important thing is, we're all here to support one another like family. Hey---I'm popular???? I think I'm just a big ole' bag o' wind sometimes! I feel like I "force" you people to deal with me---but, then you come back with such kind words...I think, OK---I really DO have some wonderful, lovely friends ---but with no face.
This is odd, not knowing exactly what you lovely people look like, but we get a chance to dig "deeper" into their souls, with innermost thoughts...and all the while, hopefully, help someone feel better.
Remember the days of old, when people had "penpals?" This is like "instead gratification" penpals. When I first learned to email, I had no idea emailing would become a bit of a lifesaver for me! :)

AILS!
Always nice to hear from you.
Fairy and I were "leaning" on each other...
I'm doing better (thanks for asking) than yesterday....but, tell me---
Did you run a low-grade fever? I can't seem to get it under 99 degrees.
I called my doc's office, and they said anything over 100.4 (something like that) they worry about---but, until then, I guess I just roll around on the couch. My best day, so far, was day # 5. I guess the new symptoms that have risen (stomach) need to level out. They gave me Prevacid, and said it will take awhile to build up in my body. ???? I hope so...
How are you today??
Are you glad it's Friday???

LOL - definitely glad it's friday
I can't ever remember feeling that bad. So I've just rang my mum who said that I always looked like poo and she could tell I wasn't well but she said I had that stubborn look on my face (she says I'm terrible once I make my mind up about something and develop somewhat of a blinkered vision and she certainly wasn't going to argue with me) and once I even told her that it would take more that fire to burn me!!! Can't remember saying that, but there you go!!
So all of what you are experiencing is perfectly normal. Just make sure you take your temperature morning and night (I certainly did) and you'll be safe. You have to wade through to bog to get to the promised land sometimes

ALRIGHTY THEN!
Another fabulous pep talk from Ails!
I guess we all have a tendency to forget the "bad"---which, I'm sure is a good thing.
Yeah, the old symptoms just keep coming & going....I wish they'd all pack up and leave!
I'm a determined person, too--but, being the youngest of 4, I always had someone to lean on. If it weren't my mom...then my dad, or then one of my 3 older siblings---Now, it's only my hubby, whom I'm sure would like a day away from me right now!!!
Did you know my nurse told me yesterday, that only years ago (not sure how many) before clinics & what-not, that when you had chemo, they admitted you into the hospital for a WEEK???? At least, we don't have to do that!!!
That would be the pits. (Do you guys use that slang?)
I noticed a word you people in England have used..."naff." Does that mean "crappy?" Just wondering... I love the way you talk, especially English accents. :) --very sexy. (am I allowed to say that?)
Ails
06-08-2007, 04:14 PM
LOL - you can say anything you like!!
Yeah - naff can be used as in "such and such is Crap / Naff" It's also another word for crass / tasteless and can be used as a slightly more polite way of telling someone to eff off / go away ie "naff off!!"
Yup - we say something's the pits over here but I tend to refer to it as the Jolie-pitts these days .
I was actually in hospital for 2 weeks when I got an infection in my line and some poor sods had to stay for a week at a time to get their chemo over the space of a week. Couldn't imagine being in there for so long, quite depressing. I was so bored. So yeah, going in one day every other 2 weeks is the lesser of the evils
Susie - have you tried contacting the Lymphoma association? They are so helpful and have a web site www.lymphoma.org.uk. (I think) Hope I'm not going to get into trouble for putting that on here as it's a non profit making charity which I found very informative and helpful. My consultant has done a lot of work with them

Speaking of "Jolie-Pitts,"---
Do you people in England know the obsession the USA has with Paris Hilton?
I swear, I tried to watch tv with my husband just now, and she's EVERYWHERE, because they're making her go back to jail. Apparently, she had a meltdown.
I'm so sick of celebrities- People are totally obsessed, especially concerning Hollywood (CA). To me, it's embarrassing. --I'd much rather talk to you people.

Much agreed regarding Paris Hilton. Send her **** back to the slammer like everyone else. Time to teach a spoiled brat a lesson!
So sick of Hollywood news also!

But Paris is a shining beacon of beauty in my otherwise dull existence!!
Do you think she actually think she believed that when she said it??!!
Know what you mean I really can't stand Paris or anything she stands for. I couldn't believe she was released after 3 days - in fact I can't believe her already way too soft sentence was halved - drunk drivers ruin people's lives and she gets 45 days??!!!! I totally agree with teaching the pampered princess a lesson

You're so right, fellow forum-ite's.
If you, or I, did what she did---driving at night, 75 mph, no headlights, on probation...did not know "where" her driver's license was, etc.. They'd throw the book at us & not think twice!
I, myself, have a son & not a daughter...but, I worry about my young nieces viewing people like Britney, Paris & Lindsey L. as role models. Even my son (in his 20's) does not find it at all appealing---their self-absorption, etc..
Which I'm really glad about.
What is wrong with our world? I know this forum is about "health," --so I'll tie it in.... Being faced with a possible terminal illness, has me totalling focusing on what's most important. I even had family members, knowing that I enjoy fashion to a degree, ask me if I was going to have a problem with my hair falling out. I said, "HECK, no....I just want to be well..." There's always scarves, wigs... Anyway, back to Paris---These pampered little twits need a huge dose of reality, which is exactly what she's getting. I still am fed-up with it, though...
We need some positive role models like I had when I was younger---
Marlo Thomas, Diane Keaton, Julie Andrews, ---hmmm...chemo brain...I can't think :)

 LOL Do you think she wants to date us ails for our sexy accents!!!
my son says thats naff!! it's used quite a lot in our house.
I did telephone the lymphoma help line, and yes they were lovely, although they can not diagnose the lady did comment on how similar my symptoms are to lymphoma.
I don't think i will ever get to the bottom of this:confused:
Oh well Im off to take my meds in hope of a good nights sleep.
