Hi, I'm a 19 year old female who has struggled with flat feet since about age 12. I'm fed up with orthodics, physical therapy, and stretching for 40 min every day! I'm looking into subtarsal implant sugery. I was hoping to get some feedback from people who have had this surgery to see if it really does make a difference in everyday activities.

Also, I'm a worried about the recovery time. Are casts necessary if I'm only getting the implants and not any tendon lengthening? I have an appt with an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot/ankle surgery on July 11, but I was hoping for some input before I dive into this. Thanks!
