Hello there girls!
I am new here! I have been going through the threads and have found this to be very helpful and hope i will be able to find some answers support and hopefully be of help to others! At the moment I feel very shakey and worried to death. I am 37yrs old, recently divorced +3 kids. This is my how my story goes:

In March 2005 I was diagnosed with HGSIL - CIN3.
Before the LLETZ - Biopsy - * fragmented scanty squamous epithelium showing high grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN3) * since no stroma has been submitted and the epithelium is fragmented no assessment about invasion can be made. *scanty endocervical epithelium is also present.

Pap – epithelial cell abnormalities squamous cell abnormalities: High Grade SIL with features suspected for invasion. Remarks: Partially obscured by inflammation.

In July 2005 - had the Loop LLETZ. thereaftere:
Sept. 2005- Epithelial cell abnormalities, squamous cell abnormalities, atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASCUS)
February 2006 - Result of Pap - dyskaryosis (severe abnormality)
For some reason - no result of biopsy - although it was taken!!!
22 September 2006 - Pap smear - Borderline and Biopsy-Inadequate Biopsy!!!!
April 2007 - Pap Smear - Moderate dyskaryosis (moderate abnormality)
Biopsy: CIN2 (moderate abnormality). Recomended the Loop Diathermy procedure

Now I am back to quare one - with CIN2 - and need to do the Loop/ Leep/ Leetz procedure.

I feel so weak and frustrated!! as last time when i had the procedure done I was unwell for about 4 months.
I started taking Folic acid 5mg twice a day.
Vit C 500mg twice a dat
and 'Host Defense' (mushrooms) to boost up my immune system.
I know the folic acid is very important!

I feel confused and wonder whethere I should cut things short and have a hysterectomy?? I am so tired of follow-ups pap smears and biopsies - especially waiting 4 weeks for the results (that's how it works here).

I started a new relationship - and we are talking now about the future and maybe having a baby. Can i pass the CIN to my partner? I thought it is all behind me. I must tell him now about my new result!

I also wonder how I got mine - as my ex husband was my first and only one!

I am sorry - i know I have too many questions and bombarded u all with so many details.
I really hope i manage to feel a little bit more positive about it all.
and I thank you in advance for your help!

Sincerely!

Jessica

CIN is caused by the HPV virus. You can pass the HPV virus to your new partner but since men don't have cervixes, they can't get cervical cancer. HPV is basically harmless in men, although there is some evidence that it SLIGHTLY increases the risk of penile cancer in men.
