A nutritionist told me friend who was planning a healthy diet to drink hot water with frsh lemon juice squeezed into it first thing in the I have also heard of this a few times when reading health articals. Does anyone know wy thins is suggested? benifits, etc ?

Interesting! I know that eating things like grapefruit and/or lemon after meals is good because it helps break down the fat & calories, or something like that.

I HAve heard that the lemon in hot water helps to detox the body and break down unhealthy fat , but also just heard it. I was on a low carb diet that called for you to detox once a week by drinking a glass of lemon water and then just eating soup and pawpaw for the rest of that day. i lost 10kg in five weeks very effective! we also ate granny smith apples twice daily they help break down fat, or so my diet said!
