Hello all. I have been drinking the lemon/maple 'cleanse' drink for a couple of weeks now. I have not been fasting though (I can't fast) But I liked the taste and figured it couldn't hurt. Well, my teeth are very sensitive now. It's almost like my gums are receeding or something like that. Anyone had that happen? Could it be from all the acid in the lemon juice ? Any ideas ? I'm stopping for a while.

Being that I'm quitting smoking also, I can tell my whole way of eating is going downhill. I have to get back on track, but it's really tough when trying to quit smoking too. I know there's another message board for that too....lol. I keep saying "I'll eat better tomorrow" or "No junk food tomorrow" but tomorrow comes, and there's that bag of chips or pretzels etc etc. I guess one of these days they'll be gone and I won't buy anymore! But I'm afraid I know where they will have gone!

Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be a better one. Without smoking. food tastes really good. Gotta remember to stick to those carrots I bought. CHIPS=bad CARROTS=good. Wish me luck !

more then likely it is the acid. Dentist recommend that all citrus drinks be taken in via straw to reduce contact with teeth. The acid basically strips away the enamel on the teeth...and once ts gone its gone.
