Hi all, this is my first post and I am a total newbie to the board. This will be our first month TTC. My sister has had a very hard time, so I am trying to stay relaxed and hope for the best.
For the first time, ever, I have been tracking my temp. It has been 1 full week. My temp seems to be all over the place. I take it in the morning before I get out of bed. When I sat down and graphed it, I kid you not, it looks like a heart monitor, up, down, up, up, down, down, up. :dizzy:
I started right at the end of my period, so I haven't been ovulating yet. Anyone else have these kinds of results from temping? I should mention I just went off the pill.
Thanks. And I am so happy to be a part of a group with so many women with so much love in their hearts.

Hey Tibbyrose
Welcome to TTC boards. This is only my second month temping so Im no expert myself. I guess it depends on alot of things, like do you take it the same time every morning? That I think is quite important. Our temps are generally different everyday, the best way to find out if there is a problem is to temp for a few cycles. I wish you the best of luck in your TTC journey.

Hi Tibby,
I, too, just started TTC. I went off BCPs at the end of March, but we decided to let the BCPs get out of my system for a few months. I had my last AF on May 17th and I started temping on the 22nd ( and got serious about TTC). The first day my temp was in the "normal range" but the second day it went really high. I'm not sure why. I guess dreams, how well you sleep, etc can affect it. I never saw it go that high again until June 1st and now it's staying up. From the online chart I use, it says I Od on May 31st. I'm really learning a lot from temping and I look forward to it each day when my alarm goes off. Unfortunately, my dh works shift work and we were not able to BD anywhere around May 31st so things don't look good for us this month. There's always next, right? Good luck to you and I hope that your chart becomes easier to understand the longer you do it. I'm guessing it could have something to do with the fact that you just stopped the BCPs. I'd wait and see what next month looks like. Sticky Baby Dust!
