Hello everyone,
I just wanted to make a quick post to say that I’m still here and you are all in my thoughts. I do visit the board regularly but at the moment don’t seem to find the time to respond as often as I’d like. Then I feel guilty.... Oh the joy’s of guilt ! So this is me trying to absolve myself of guilt a little !
Little bit of irrelevant news about my situation...
At the moment, I’m taking advantage of an upturn in my condition, and trying to spend as much of the “good” time as possible with my family. My counsellor told me I don’t need any more 1:1’s for a while, and can get by with a monthly group session just to keep in touch. I’ve got my lead worker from Combat Stress coming to visit on my birthday in just over 2 weeks. Normally that fills me with dread. At the moment I’m looking forward to catching up with him, so that must be a good sign.
The important part of the post !
I can see from the threads that almost everyone is having a really difficult time right now. Though I might not respond to every thread ( you guys ( can I say that since mostly you’re ladies ??? ) are so much quicker at posting than me, and you do it while I’m asleep... no fair !!! ) I can guarantee you that I do read as much as I can. Like I’ve said before, I’m not a religious person, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t think of you and wish you all well and every success in coping with your individual ordeals. I’ll always be here if anyone feels they need a specific response from me, and I’ll try and post as often as I can, but please don’t think that lack of activity means lack of caring.
Mark.

Mark,
Well I for one would like to say....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!:blob_fire I write them down so we can all remember, so when is yours??? June what???? I think it's important for people to be remembered at certain times.
I am glad that you are doing better too. We all need a break for the BEAST of PTSD. Keep up the good work, and enjoy your family.

Mark,
I am glad to hear you're doing so well- I am sort of like you. I am in a pretty good place right now, and hubby is finally back from an extended tour in Afghan... I am spending as much time with him as I can.
I miss you when you're not here but I am glad for you that you don't need to be. And we all get that feeling where we read but don't feel like responding (for whatever reason), and then feel guilty for it. We shouldn't.
Happy happy joy joy on your birthday!

Hi Mark......Also very glad you are in a good place. I find when we are either in a really bad place or nothing at all is going on that it is reallyhard to post. We have all been there and will be again. Please don't feel guilty. We all have the same disorder and do undersand totally. I wish you well and continued progress. It can be done with alot of determination.

Sorry Sid.. completely neglected to respond to this :)
My birthday is on Monday... 18th June. I'm a Gemini and we're proud of it ;) I'll be 39 years old... Still loving life ( or trying to !!! ), but occasionally wondering where the 17 year old I see smiling at me from my photos taken after passing my RAF training...

Mark-
How bizarre that you mention that. We have a picture of my mother and me at my Basic Training graduation on top of the televison, and last night I was looking at it. HUGE sigh came out of me. I was thinking the same thing.
