How's it going? probably not too well if you are reading this...
But i have good news, maybe.
When i was younger (10-17 years old) I had terrible headaches which i now know were migraines. If i did not take tylenol or catch the headache soon enough it would end up in severe nausea and vomiting. I probably had headaches every other day, and threw up every other week, if not every week. Eventually my mom took me to a homeopath and they decided I was allergic to certain foods i was eating almost every day.
these included (and i now know this to be true, since i have never had a migraine since eliminating these foods from my diet):
cheddar cheese
blue cheese
aged cheese
strawberries
soy
cured meat (like salamy, bologna, most hot dogs)
i ate cheddar cheese pretty much every day...
I have NO more migraines, or headaches even ;)
check this out:
"In one study, 60 patients who had been suffering from frequent migraines for a mean duration of about 20 years followed an exclusion diet for five days. During that time, only two low-risk foods (usually lamb and pears) and spring water were consumed. Migraines disappeared in most cases by the fifth day. Each patient then tested one to three common foods per day, looking for reactions. The number of headaches in the group fell from 402 to 6 per month, with 85% of the patients becoming headache free."
There are many other foods that can trigger migraines other than the ones i listed for myself...do some research on the web to find out.
According to that study 85% of migraines are caused by food allergies! its worth a try...I felt it was worth sharing since it has helped me immensly.....let me know if this helps anyone ;)
