dizzyandsad 06-06-2007, 07:54 AM This is day 3 of constant dizziness. Wow this is the worst "blip" ever!!!! I dont imagine it would last much longer??? Been like 7 days.... Howie2 06-06-2007, 08:47 AM i know you have heard this advice from others on the board but you need to actually try and focus on some of the advice. You need to control your anxiety. If you do not your recovery will be longer as anxiety can stall recovery. The symptoms can be similiar in both inner ear and anxiety so the over lap will be hard to distinguish. You cant continue to put pressure on your self and put time lines on when you will be well. You have a condition your are seeking treatment and doing VRT so let life run its course. This is Tough to understand when you are suffering but you have to. I had my condition 2 years before any relief due to my high anxiety levels. I am now 100% for over a year. I went for therapy and took Zoloft. I am know no longer on any medication and I am doing well. I have MAV and take a blood pressure medication and I am fine. Try and focus on getting out, keeping active, enjoy your friends and and children. This will get better but loosen up and let it. You will look back one day and say how did I let this conquer my life. Take control. Howie Jill43 06-06-2007, 09:06 AM Howie, Glad to hear you are 100%. That's great! Could you tell me how long it took for the Zoloft to kick in? I started on an SSRI a couple weeks ago and still do not feel better. Take Care! Jill dizzyandsad 06-06-2007, 09:08 AM well it may seem that way but i am not really freaking out more just like huh cant last much longer right.... Howie2 06-06-2007, 09:31 AM Jill: It took a few months to feel anything. It also can increase your anxiety before it gets better initially. I was on Zoloft for a year or so... Verapamil for MAV also helped a lot. DD: Just try not to be to negative. Read your statement you just sent aabout not lasting much longer. Thats what you need to work on as hard as it may seem. You will be ok it takes time but dotn worr about how much longer just know you will get better as the VRT and anxiety take time to work. dizzyandsad 06-06-2007, 09:48 AM I know it will take a long time to heal completely I just want to be feeling a little better than i am today for sunday as i have that party. I know i wont be well for quite a while but want to be functionalble for this weekend... Howie2 06-06-2007, 09:55 AM Tell yourself you will enjoy the party Sunday no matter how you feel... Hopefully you will feel better and I think by being positive about everything you will enjoy the party and forget the condition for the time being. Just a hunch..... charlotte67 06-06-2007, 10:04 AM Howie is right on. Like I said...I gave BIRTH to my daughter at month 2 of this illness. I wish I had felt much better...I felt extremely dizzy all thru my showers, through baby classes...and birth...and the first few months of her life. Does it suck, yes. Is that life, yes. Like Howie said...time to take control.:dizzy: Jill43 06-06-2007, 10:27 AM Howie, I guess I need to give the SSRI sometime to work. It sure has increased my anxiety but hoping it will kick in soon. Thanks for sticking around to help those of us who are still fighting this. I'm so happy you are feeling better. Jill |
